American Football Club
The University of Portsmouth American Football Club, also known as the Portsmouth Destroyers, are a big club and love to compete. The club is open to players of all abilities and coaching is available to teach everyone how to play the game, you just need to be ready to throw yourself into the sport and have a great time.
Give Me Sport
Try out our 32 Team UOP Sports Clubs at Give Me Sport, Thursday 17 - Sunday 20 September. You can try out both casual taster sessions and trials for our competitive teams, with no previous experience needed and no commitment to sign up straight away.

Club memberships for 2026/27 are available from Saturday 1 August.
Please note, for most Compete memberships, you will need to be selected for a team via the club's trials during our Give Me Sport event.

- Club membership: £155
Includes: Training, Transport to away fixtures, Matchday equipment, BUCS Competition entry, Coaching
Training sessions
- Tuesday 8.00pm-10.00pm: Team Training - Langstone 3G
- Thursday 7.00pm-10.00pm: Team Training - Langstone 3G
Fixtures
Weekend fixtures will take place at Langstone Sports Site for home games and various facilities for away games throughout the course of the year.
Play Memberships
Lots of our Team UOP Sports Clubs offer Play Memberships, a more casual way to play without committing to a year membership. Most Play Memberships are a one-off payment of £70 for the year (with some exceptions).
