We’re sport lovers, we love playing any kind of sport we can. From that love of sport comes an understanding that we can achieve our goals better with other people, be it on the court, pitch or at work. We work with a lot of services, companies and programmes and are always looking for innovative ways to offer more to our members and users. Portsmouth Football Club
The University of Portsmouth is the Main Club Partner of Portsmouth Football Club. The two organisations have been working together through a successful period that has seen infrastructure improvements and changes and a historic season with the Men's and Women's First teams successfully achieving promotion to the Championship.
The University’s logo will continue to appear on the front of Pompey shirts for all first-team games and the partnership will also deliver joined-up research, work opportunities for University students and outreach activity to inspire children at local schools and colleges.
We also host an annual charity event at Fratton Park each year and discounted match tickets are available to students and staff members of the University for all of Portsmouth Football Club’s Championship home matches.
parkrun
Southsea parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners of all abilities and ages. UOP Sport helped provide the start up funding for the event nearly 6 years ago, to help keep Portsmouth active. It takes place every Saturday at 9.00am on Southsea seafront. This all-inclusive running environment is great for a social run, used as a personal training run or just a. Carrington West
Our lead Team UOP sports club sponsor Carrington West is an award-winning, Portsmouth-based, technical recruitment company. Carrington West are the main partner of competitive sport at the University of Portsmouth.
The partnership sees Carrington West become the front of shirt sponsor for the University’s sports teams. Carrington West will also deliver educational seminars and workshops for students, ensuring that students get both on and off-the-field development opportunities, which is vital to their continued success in the graduate market.
Founded in 2011 Carrington West is experienced and successful in the recruitment community, providing high-calibre talent in the UK for highways, transport and infrastructure, town planning, water and environmental, utilities, power and telecoms, building and rail industries. They recruit interim, temporary and permanent professionals from entry to board level for private and public sector organisations.
