As a Customer Service Advisor at Ravelin Sports Centre, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. Your responsibilities will include managing bookings and memberships, handling enquiries across multiple channels, and maintaining high standards in front-of-house presentation. This role offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills such as customer engagement, communication, IT proficiency, and teamwork, while gaining experience in systems administration and problem-solving within a dynamic sports environment. 

As a Sports Operations Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping our sports facilities safe, clean, and ready for action. From lifeguarding and providing first aid to setting up equipment and supporting events, you’ll ensure every visitor enjoys a great experience. This role is perfect for developing practical skills in health and safety, customer service, teamwork, and operational management, while gaining qualifications like lifesaving and first aid. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, active environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and confidence.

As a Swimming Instructor or Swimming Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality swimming lessons and supporting the progression of swimmers of all ages. Responsibilities include teaching or assisting with classes, ensuring safety and enjoyment, following health and safety protocols, and promoting a positive learning environment. These roles offer the chance to develop strong communication and customer service skills, technical knowledge of swimming instruction, and experience in planning, assessment, and teamwork. You’ll also gain valuable qualifications and confidence in managing classes and responding to emergencies, perfect for anyone passionate about swimming and helping others succeed. 

As a Health and Fitness Assistant, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming environment in our modern gym and fitness studios. Your responsibilities include offering exercise advice, maintaining equipment, supporting customers to achieve their fitness goals and more. This role is a great opportunity to develop skills in customer service, communication, and health and fitness instruction, while gaining hands-on experience in gym operations and building confidence in a professional, active setting.

As a Head Coach, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of training sessions and fixtures for competitive student sports teams, helping them perform at their best in BUCS and other competitions. You’ll work closely with club committees and coaching staff to design programmes, manage squads, and support player development. This role is a fantastic opportunity to build leadership, communication, and organisational skills, while gaining experience in coaching, team management, and performance planning within a dynamic university sports environment.

As a Climbing Wall Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safety and delivering an excellent customer experience. Your responsibilities include checking harnesses, clipping users onto auto-belay systems, giving safety briefings, and monitoring climbers to prevent accidents. You’ll also learn how to carry out rescues and provide first aid when required. This role is perfect for developing skills in vigilance, communication, customer service, and enforcing safety procedures, while gaining technical knowledge in climbing operations and emergency response.
