We love nothing more than planning our week and booking in for our swim slot, gym sessions and fitness classes, but sometimes we want more. We want to learn a new skill and develop in other ways than we’re used to. Our courses and workshops are great for just that. Taking part in a course or a workshop offers a multitude of reasons for you to enhance your overall well-being and achieve a healthier, more vibrant lifestyle.
We offer a range of courses and workshops throughout the year, from swimming lessons to climbing and fitness courses, all designed to help you learn new skills.

The Body Composition Seminar
- A 2-hour educational fitness and nutrition seminar
- Saturday 1 August: 12.00-2.00pm
- Thursday 3 September: 3.00-5.00pm
- Monday 21 September: 10.30am-12.30pm
- £20 for members, £30 for non-members
- No advanced fitness knowledge required
This seminar gives you a clear understanding of how fat loss and muscle building actually work, how metabolism and calorie balance affect your results, and why weight alone doesn't tell the full story. You'll leave with practical, sustainable strategies you can apply straight away — no restrictive diets, no quick fixes, just a more informed approach to your training and nutrition.
Strength and Conditioning Master Classes
- Three standalone, small-group sessions
- 5, 12 and 19 August, 12.00pm to 1.00pm
- Gym performance area, capacity 8
- £15 for members, £20 for non-members
- For experienced gym users looking to progress their training
These master classes are led by our Head of Strength & Conditioning and introduce more athletic, performance-focused training methods. Each session builds your skills in a different area, from Olympic lifting to plyometrics and full-body athletic training, helping you move better, lift with more power, and bring new purpose to your current programme.
Learn to Lift: Next Level Workshops
- An hour-long workshop
- Thursdays from 10.30am to 11.30am
- £10 for members, £15 for non-members
- For anyone who has completed a Learn to Lift course
These workshops support you in refining your technique, increasing your strength, and feeling genuinely proud of what your body can do. Each session builds on the last, allowing you to develop confidence, improve movement quality, and better understand how to lift with purpose and control. The workshops are open to anyone who has previously attended and completed our Learn to Lift course and wants to improve and refine their lifting technique.
