Cardiovascular classes are perfect if you are looking for a way to maximise training your cardio fitness. Using bodyweight exercises or our cycle studio which features the Technogym Group Cycle™ Ride, which is easy to use like never before, thanks to the exclusive patented on-the-fly settings. Combining unique design with awesome feeling and technology.
Our cardiovascular classes are fun, energising and designed to get you moving. Members can book classes if they have an Ultimate membership or have chosen it as an option for the Core or Core Plus memberships. If you are not a member, you can book classes on a pay as you go basis.

This is a great cardiovascular workout, set to high tempo motivational music. Pedal your way through hill climbs, sprints, and many other challenging drills and exercises.

Ravelin Sports Centre Run Club is separate to our main Classes offer. For Ravelin Sports Centre members, the sessions are free and non-members pay just £5.
Our run club is a guided 5k in and around Portsmouth and Southsea and will be taken by our qualified run leader, Ben. Ben is an experienced runner of all distances, ranging from 1 mile, to over 60 marathons and ultras, including distances of 100k and 100 mile running races.
The benefit of the run club is to not only get you outside enjoying the fresh air, but to get you active and improve your cardiovascular health, it can even help you live longer as well as keep your joints moving.
Away from the Fitness it can also help your mental health and give you that time you need for some headspace, or time with people to chat about your day and to make some new friends.
The run club will take place twice a week and will alternate between the Week A and Week B schedules below to allow as many people to take part as possible. The run will be done as loopbacks, meaning faster runners may run further or get some rest periods throughout the route.
All runners need to check in with Ben at reception at the start and end of the run. The run will start and finish at Ravelin Sports Centre and have a different 5k route every week. Each run will start with Ben explaining the route and he will run with the group, always making sure the last runner is back safely. Each run ends back at Ravelin where Ben will lead a stretch and cool down (outside on the forecourt or grass area). There will also be time for any questions about running.
Every other week on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Week A - Morning Sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30am
- Week B - Evening Sessions: Tuesdays at 6.30pm and Thursdays at 7.30pm
