We’re delighted to announce the return of the Students vs Alumni Cup for its second year. The inaugural event last year saw over 150 students and alumni come together to compete in the sports they know and love, at the place they know and love.
The Alumni team came out victorious in 2025, so now it’s time to see who the next name on the trophy is. We already have the teams and fixtures ready for 2026 and now we need your support. We want you to turn up in force to support your side of the competition, students or alumni. Let’s be honest, the odds are stacked against the current student team with a huge number of alumni on the books, growing every year.
The Alumni team have experience on their side, they’ve put in the hard graft and graduated. Success is already built into their history, and your place is firmly cemented in the University of Portsmouth’s DNA. You’ll always be a part of Portsmouth, so come down and support your fellow students and alumni. Spectator tickets are free, and we’d love for you to bring your friends and family to get a taste of university sport.
While the competition is on most of our minds, the fantastic thing about the Students vs Alumni Cup is the shared experience of both students and Alumni. 2025 was such a good-natured event that allowed our current students to mix and talk to alumni about their experiences. It was all the feels, ramped up to the next level.

You can get food and drink from the cafe in Ravelin Sports Centre or enjoy refreshments in the sunshine with our Airstream situated outside selling hot food and drinks.
