Got something broken at home? Before you toss it in the bin, bring it along and learn how to give it a second life.
Join us on Monday 2 March, 11.00am - 2.00pm at Ravelin Reception for a hands-on Repair Café, delivered in partnership with Share Portsmouth and their expert volunteers.
During the session, a team of specialist repairers will be on site to help fix small household items - from clothing and bags to jewellery and equipment. Even better, they’ll show you how the repair is done, so you can build the confidence and skills to fix things yourself next time. It’s practical, money-saving, and planet-friendly all at once.
Why come along?
Instead of replacing items that still have life left in them, repairing helps reduce waste, cut carbon, and keep useful materials in circulation. Share Portsmouth’s mission is simple: make it easier for our community to share, repair and re-use - and this event is your perfect introduction.

About Share Portsmouth Charity
Share Portsmouth is a volunteer-led charity based in the city centre that helps people reduce waste and save money through repair and reuse initiatives. Alongside their popular Repair Cafés, they also run a Library of Things, where members can borrow useful items such as carpet cleaners, steamers, and damp detectors for a small annual donation.
They already support many students, residents and sports clubs across the city - and now they’re bringing their skills to Ravelin.
Bring your broken items. Learn something new. Help keep perfectly good things out of the landfill.
