Free InBody Measurements for Super and Ultimate Members
Throughout June, we’re giving all Super and Ultimate members a free InBody Body Composition Analysis. It’s a quick and accurate way to measure your progress beyond the scale. Check that your training is getting you the results you want and that all your hard work is paying off.
Our InBody Body Composition Analysis machine is situated in the gym and allows you to track more than just your weight on a scale.
- Track muscle mass, body fat %, water levels & more
- Get instant results
- Personal insight into your training outcomes
The offer is only available to current Super and Ultimate members throughout the month of June and is subject to staff availability. To take advantage of this offer, please speak to our health and fitness team on the gym floor. The measurement should be taken before exercise and at least two hours after you’ve eaten. Before your Body Composition Analysis, please download the InBody App, complete the registration, and activate your email and account to speed up the process.
What is Body Composition Analysis?
Body Composition Analysis allows you to find out the make-up of your body rather than relying on Body Mass Index or BMI, which is outdated and can be misleading in trained individuals. The analysis will look to differentiate between fat, protein, minerals and body water to give you a glimpse into your health. It’s a great way of showing if you’re making progress with your goals. If your goal is fat loss, muscle gain, or both, an InBody analysis can tell you if your training is working.
What is body composition?
Body composition can describe your body in percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle. Two people can weigh exactly the same weight, be the same height, but look completely different. A quick plug in of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s weight and height classifies him as obese on the Body Mass Index. At 118kg, this may be true for other individuals and indicate they need to lose weight, but not for Dwayne.
That being said, there are many overweight individuals in the UK. The most recent government obesity figures state 28% of adults are obese and a further 36% are overweight. The health concern highlights the importance of understanding body fat levels for short and long-term health.
Why do you need to differentiate between muscle and fat?
Body composition matters because having too much body fat, particularly around the organs, can increase your risk of certain health conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory issues.
On the other hand, having a healthy amount of muscle is key to your overall well-being. It supports your bones, helps with mobility, improves metabolism, and plays a role in protecting you from illness and injury.
This isn’t about appearance or fitting into a specific size. It’s about understanding what’s healthy for you, your body, your lifestyle, and your goals. Being underweight, overweight, or even within a “normal” weight range doesn’t automatically reflect health. What matters more is your body composition - how much of your weight comes from fat, muscle, bone, and water.
We want to help you feel stronger, move better, and make informed choices that support your long-term health, not to chase unrealistic ideals.
What happens after my analysis?
Well, that is up to you. You will, of course, get your results. Your instructor will run through these with you during your analysis. The results will be stored in your InBody App for you to look at whenever. But the magic will happen if you do something to make a change and measure the impact.
You could ask our Health and Fitness Team for advice, get a programme made up for you, start personal training, go to fitness classes instead of the gym, lift weights, join our run club, swim, play squash.
Although the next step is down to you to make - no one else can do the work for you after all, we’re here with you whenever you need support.
