The wait is over – the Students vs Staff Charity Football Match is back for 2026, and it’s shaping up to be a corker. The teams and charities have been picked, the iconic venue is ready, and the date is confirmed. Now we need you. 

Whether you’re proudly backing the students, standing in arms with the staff, or arriving as the ultimate neutral ready to soak up the atmosphere, this is your chance to be part of something special. There’s more than just bragging rights on the line – there’s a trophy to lift, memories to make, and vital funds to raise for charity. With the series level, one of our teams will be taking the lead this May.

It's more than a match – it’s making a difference 

This isn’t your average game of five‑a‑side. The Students vs Staff Charity Football Match is a full‑scale, competitive fixture played on a Championship pitch, inside one of the country’s most iconic sporting venues, known for it's atmosphere. Walking into Fratton Park, hearing the crowd, and feeling the buzz of matchday is an experience many people only dream of – and this is your chance tobe right at the heart of it. 

The match features mixed (male and female) Student and Staff teams, bringing together skill, rivalry, teamwork, and no shortage of determination. Expect big tackles, moments of magic, dramatic goals, and a fiercely competitive edge as both teams battle to take home the trophy. 

But beyond the 90 minutes of action, this event is about community. In previous years, the match has raised over £12,000 for Portsmouth in the Community and the Portsmouth Futures Fund, making a real and lasting difference to young lives across the city. Every ticket purchased helps continue that impact with all funds going to charity.
