Storm Ciarán is due to hit the South Coast tomorrow with an Amber wind warning
Storm Ciarán is due to hit the South Coast tomorrow with an Amber wind warning affecting Portsmouth throughout the day. Ravelin Sports Centre will remain open tomorrow unless we experience any issues overnight or over the course of the day. We will update you as soon as we can with any updates, but please expect some level of disruption throughout the day.
We have already made some changes to services in advance of tomorrow:
- Tomorrow morning we will be replacing our 6.35am Sprint class with a virtual Sprint class on the off-chance our instructor has difficulties travelling in.
- Due to its exposed waterside location, Langstone Sports Site will be closed on Thursday 2 November throughout our opening hours.
We appreciate you may still want to travel to Ravelin Sports Centre, while we’ll be delighted to see you, please take care when travelling tomorrow. Check out the advice from the Met Office about how to stay safe in strong winds. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/seasonal-advice/stay-safe-in-strong-wind
As the day and Storm develops we will update you if there is any further disruption to our services.
