The UoP Swim Academy is introducing new Pre-School Lessons from January 2024
Learning to swim is a necessary life skill, especially as Portsmouth is an Island! It's never too early to start and that's why the UoP Swim Academy is introducing new Pre-School Lessons from January 2024. The course will take place on Fridays between 11am and 11.30am or 11.30am and 12.00pm. For just £30.75 per month, your child can learn swimming basics while having fun in water. Your child will be in a small group of a maximum of 4 kids, which allows instructors to teach with a more individual approach. The programme follows the Swim England Learn to Swim framework and children will work towards achieving Duckling badges.
- The lessons will take place during the Adult and Toddler session which will still take place but with a reduced capacity and swim space.
- Adults bringing the preschool swimmers will be asked to stay with their child on the poolside but do not need to go into the water.
-
Babies and toddlers should wear a disposable “swim nappy” with tight elasticated legs. Swim nappies are not leakproof. Change the nappy immediately when used.
Lessons will take place in water of a depth of 0.80m.
