We’ve made some changes to the gym based on your feedback
We’re always grateful when we receive customer feedback, especially around the gym…and have we heard you! Much of the equipment we had installed on day one was high spec, top of the range and looking to build a community. In reality, some of the equipment just wasn’t being used to its full potential and taking up too much space - for those regular gym users, most of you will instantly think of the bikes and rowers.
Training behaviours have changed and we recognise that. The functional area is often heavily used and just try getting a cable when the gym is busy is like finding.
New Gym Equipment:
- 1 Stream tablet
- 1 Excite Recline exercise bike
- 4 Stations on the 1 new Quad tower including seated row, Lat pull down and two high cables
- 2 Dual Adjustable Pulley machines
- 6 Technogym benches
Stream, in the gym and at home
We have changed up the tablet in the gym for those of you who are lacking inspiration and want something to follow, want to run through a great stretch routine, want to try something new and are unsure how to start. You can head to the tablet and select your own workout to follow along with in the gym - with all the kit there you’ll need for a fantastic workout. Think of it as your Personal Trainer whenever you want access to them.
As a bonus, by having the stream tablet in the gym you can also access Technogym’s huge catalogue of workouts wherever you are in the World. Simply log in to the Technogym app, head to workouts and select the workout you want. Do you want to work on some mobility at home? Select and go. Whatever your schedule you can squeeze in a workout from 10 minutes upwards - we can all get a 10-minute workout into our day, can’t we?
Other changes
We have removed some of the equipment that isn’t used as much as it could be including reducing the number of bikes and rowers - while still keeping enough for those of you that do use them. We’ve shuffled some other bits of equipment around to make space for the new bits of kit and hopefully made space more useful for your workouts.
Why have we made the changes?
In short, because you’ve asked for it through feedback. We know the gym can get busy and we’re working on longer-term plans to give you more space so you can make the most of your time with us. As we approach the start of the university term the changes we’ve made should ease the pressure on some of the more popular pieces of equipment.
If you need any advice on how to make the most out of some of the equipment, chat with our fitness team on the gym floor for ways to make the most of your workouts - they’re always happy to help.
