At Ravelin Sports Centre, we offer flexible membership options to suit every lifestyle and budget. Whether you prefer to commit monthly or just pay as you go, we have something for you. Prices for pay-as-you-go activities, courses and personal training will also be increasing, and full details will be available on our website from 1 August.

UOP Swim Academy Prices (30 minutes) - from 1 August 2025
Children's lessons with weekly sessions, charged monthly. Ultimate members receive a 10% discount. From 1 August, children can swim for free outside of their lessons with a valid Swim Academy subscription.

If you're planning to stay with us for the year ahead, buy an annual membership before 31 July to lock in 2024/25 prices, and still enjoy 12 months for the price of 10. If you want to buy an annual membership for the current price, and your current membership expires after 31 July, don’t worry - we’ll adjust the start date so you won’t lose any days.
New for 2025/26
We’re excited to introduce some added benefits this year:
- Aqua classes are now available for all members, Core, Super and Ultimates.
- Ultimate members can now nominate an under-16 to climb for free with them, much like swimming.
- Olympic lifting platform area upgraded with Eleiko platforms and racks introduced with increased functionality, including cables and hip thrust attachments.
Need to make a change?
We understand that price changes may affect some members. If the new pricing no longer suits your situation, you can cancel your membership before the changes come into effect. Simply complete our Customer Support form before Thursday 31 July. Please allow some time for these to be processed, particularly if your payment date is within the first 7 days of August.
Other increases coming
Swimming lessons will be increasing from 1 August - you don’t need to do anything, your direct debit will automatically be adjusted for you. The increase will help to continue to deliver the same high-quality lessons you are used to and still represent comparable pricing across the city. As an added bonus, we are introducing free child swims for anyone enrolled on swimming lessons.
No-show activity charges are increasing from £1 to £2, and in addition to fitness classes, climbing and squash will also include swimming. Naturally, if you attend or cancel your activity, these charges will not apply. The £1 charge currently in place is not deterring those who simply don’t turn up and use a space someone else could take. Since 1 August 2024, we have had 6,329 fitness class no-shows, roughly 17 a day. So we need to take this measure to ensure everyone who wants to utilise our membership booking services can do so fairly, maximising the utilisation of spaces available for activities and bookings.
Super session passes will be increasing to £60, covering you for 3 months for a combination of 10 gym, swim and fitness class sessions. At £6 per session, this is a cost-effective way to pay as you go.
Why are the changes being implemented?
As a service, our costs are increasing for the service we deliver, and while we have made considerable expenditure savings over the last two years, this is not enough to ensure we deliver a sustainable business. From our customer survey, 88% consider us good value for money and we hope you agree the small changes will continue to offer good value for money.
We are aware that costs across many areas of life have increased or are increasing over the last year. We want to ensure our service levels do not deteriorate and therefore it is necessary to raise our prices.
A slightly higher increase in price is for those paying for one-month memberships or Pay As You Go (PAYG) at our reception area. We are keen to ensure that customers commit to their health and fitness and want to reward those who commit on a longer-term basis. We will ensure our monthly online RCP and longer-term block-paid memberships are the most cost-effective rate compared to one-off short-term memberships or usage. The processing of memberships and PAYG at reception also takes our staff away from other tasks. We want members to stay for the long term, and joining online is simple and frees our staff for other tasks.
