Movember is the leading charity revolutionizing the way we approach men’s health, focusing on mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Since 2003, Movember has raised over £598 million globally, funding more than 1,250 life-changing projects. This year, Team UoP once again demonstrated its commitment to the cause, achieving extraordinary results through collective effort, creativity, and community spirit.

Movember 2024: Our Impact

This year, our Movember campaign was nothing short of extraordinary. We made a tangible difference in men’s health through collective effort, passion, and dedication. Over the month, we raised an incredible £16,871, bringing our total contribution since 2015 to £100,339.20. These funds will go toward Movember’s life-changing initiatives, including groundbreaking research, support programs, and awareness campaigns focusing on mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

But it wasn’t just about fundraising — we also took action to raise awareness and promote physical activity. Our community collectively moved 28,894.31 kilometres, symbolizing the 60 men lost to suicide every hour worldwide. This achievement highlights the strength of our shared commitment to creating change.

None of this would have been possible without the leadership and hard work of our incredible Movember Ambassadors, Ben and Lottie, and our Team UoP Executive team — Ben, Lydia, Ishbel, Ben, and Georgia. Their efforts to inspire and engage others were instrumental in making this campaign successful.

Looking Ahead

Movember’s vision is to create a lasting impact on men’s health, and this year, we’ve taken a giant step toward achieving that goal. The funds raised will support innovative research and programs that enable men to live longer, healthier lives.

We’re incredibly proud of the collective effort, and we thank everyone who participated, donated, or supported in any way. Together, we’ve shown the power of community in driving meaningful change.

As we reflect on this year’s achievements, we’re already looking forward to continuing this vital work next Movember. With the momentum we’ve built, we’re confident that we can make an even greater difference in the years to come.
