The University of Portsmouth Men’s Rugby Club welcomes players of all abilities to play in one of their five teams. The club has a strong ethos on ensuring everyone can join a team and play in fixtures which has led to us becoming one of the biggest clubs at the university.
Club membership - 2023/24
You can join our club for the second half of the 2023/24 academic year for;
- Compete: £72.50
- Development: £42.50
This membership will be available from Tuesday 9 January 2024.

Fixtures
BUCS fixtures take place against other university teams on Wednesday afternoons, with home games being played at Langstone Sports Site.
Memberships to join our clubs for the 23/24 year are now open. Please note: for some clubs you need to attend trials before purchasing a membership. Contact the club for more information.
Play Memberships
Lots of our clubs offer Play Memberships, a more casual way to play without committing to a year membership. Most Play Memberships are £65 for the academic year (with some exceptions).

We welcome all students to take part in non-competitive sports and we recognise the health and wellbeing benefits of being active. Competitive sports are bound by specific policies governed by the sport's National Governing Body which may be less inclusive. Please find below inclusion guidance for our club.

| Transgender individuals would have to fund the required testing stated by World Rugby themselves. Non-binary, genderqueer and genderfluid individuals who are not in hormone therapy can compete for their assigned gender at birth. All individuals can take part in Campus League Touch Rugby. | |||
Play: Men’s Rugby does not participate in our Play programme.
