The Futsal Club is fun and rewarding and welcomes all abilities

The University of Portsmouth Futsal Club are a fun and rewarding club to be a part of. The club welcomes players of all abilities, with two competitive teams and recreational sessions for those looking to learn new skills, and meet like minded people.

  • Tuesday 5.00pm-8.00pm at St Paul's
  • Thursday 9.00pm-10.30pm at Ravelin Sports Centre

Fixtures

BUCS fixtures take place against other university teams on Sundays.

Home games will take place at Ravelin Sports Centre and we will travel to other universities for away matches.

Memberships to join our clubs for the 23/24 year are now open. Please note: for some clubs you need to attend trials before purchasing a membership. Contact the club for more information.

Play Memberships

Lots of our clubs offer Play Memberships, a more casual way to play without committing to a year membership. Most Play Memberships are £65 for the academic year (with some exceptions).

LGBTQ+ sports club guidance

We welcome all students to take part in non-competitive sports and we recognise the health and wellbeing benefits of being active. Competitive sports are bound by specific policies governed by the sport's National Governing Body which may be less inclusive. Please find below inclusion guidance for our club.

A transgender male would have to fund test themselves and meet requirements set out by the Football Association’s Transgender policy. Students are encouraged to discuss this with TeamUOP@port.ac.uk.

Play: Futsal is not included in the ‘Play’ programme.

Train: Inclusivity dependant - a transgender male would need to fund test themselves to train as part of an FA registered club.

Compete: Inclusivity dependant - a transgender male would need to fund test themselves to compete as part of an FA registered club.

Campus sport football: Any individual of any gender or under the transgender umbrella is able to take part in our Campus Sport Football Leagues please visit our Campus Sport pages for more information.

Coaching: Any individual can apply for coaching openings for our Futsal Club. The coach does not have to be a cis-male to coach Futsal.
