University of Portsmouth Archery Club offer competition archery training and competitions
The University of Portsmouth Archery Club is one of the friendliest clubs here in Portsmouth. The club offers competitive archery training and competitions to the majority of bow disciplines.
Club membership - 2023/24
You can join our club for the second half of the 2023/24 academic year for £57.50, this includes, equipment, fixtures, travel and training sessions.
Training Sessions
- Wednesday 7.00pm-10.00pm: Team Training - St. Paul's Gym
- Friday 5.00pm-7.30pm: Team Training - St. Paul's Gym
- Sunday 3.00pm-6.00pm: Team Training - St. Paul's Gym
Competitions
Saturdays and Sundays - Competitions will take place on selected weekend days at various locations.
Memberships to join our clubs for the 23/24 year are now open. Please note: for some clubs you need to attend trials before purchasing a membership. Contact the club for more information.
Play Memberships
Lots of our clubs offer Play Memberships, a more casual way to play without committing to a year membership. Most Play Memberships are £65 for the academic year (with some exceptions).

We welcome all students to take part in non-competitive sports and we recognise the health and wellbeing benefits of being active. Competitive sports are bound by specific policies governed by the sport's National Governing Body which may be less inclusive. Please find below inclusion guidance for our club.

Play: Archery is not included in the ‘Play’ programme but as an inclusive club anyone can Train and Compete with them.
Train: Inclusivity dependant - individuals would have to train for competitions which would be linked to assigned gender at birth.
Compete: Inclusivity dependant - competitors would have to compete in either male or female competitions which match their assigned gender at birth.
