Why be a Wildcat?

There are lots of reasons you should be a Wildcat, take a look at some of them below:

  • You’ll make new friends: There are Wildcats centres all over the country. Our centre has girls joining from different schools, living in different areas but that doesn’t matter, you’ll have so much fun you’ll become great friends anyway.
  • It’s great fun: Wildcats is all about having a good time. You don’t need to worry about being able to score or how fast you can run, you just need to know you can have fun. Our coaches will ensure you go home with a smile on your face!
  • You learn new football skills: Every week Wildcats teaches you about playing football. You can practice dribbling skills like Nikita Parris, being a goalkeeper like Karen Bardsley, defending like Lucy Bronze or scoring goals like Ellen White. You can practice your skills and celebrations at home with your friends and family, to get even better.
  • You’ll get fitter and stronger: Playing football gets you moving, it makes your muscles stronger, your heart stronger and gives you more energy. Imagine how much fun you can have with more energy. You’ll be able to run around the pitch for even longer without getting tired, and you’ll be less likely to get ill.
  • You even do better at school: Exercise is really good for your brain. If you’re fit and healthy you can concentrate for longer. You can listen and learn more in classes at school. Exercise can improve your memory too, to help you remember your friend’s birthday or your times tables.
